In their entire 75-year history, nopony has ever straight-up QUIT the Wonderbolts. Nopony but Rainbow Dash, who abandoned her former idols after she witnessed the recklessness of their academy firsthoof. It wasn't supposed to be like that, just Spitfire in over her head as the new commanding officer of the base. But it was enough to shatter Dash's dreams. Determined to seek revenge against whom she believed was responsible for her near-death experience, Rainbow Dash joined the Shadowbolts.
She had but one goal:
Kill Spitfire.

Indeed. Wonderbolt Blue (as I shall call it because I'm too lazy to look up its actual name) is too close to her coat colour. She needs something with more contrast, but not too much. Like purple.
Also, it looks really cool with the purple part of her mane falling across it.

I agree wholeheartedly. Contrast is good, and for RD, she needs something contrasting, since she literally is a fuckin' rainbow. Blue's too...boring, and off just enough from her hue to make my brain go "NO"
