I've been feeling down lately so I thought today I would give myself a break and play around a little. I did some cleaning and decided why not snap a few shots? I don't think I have any pictures of my pelts or collection together so I gave it a go. Sorry for the crummy indoor and artificial lighting photos. It just hasn't been that nice out and of course since we are just coming out of winter, everything is still dead. I don't have enough room anywhere to lie them all down and get a good group shot so this will have to do for now.

From left to right:

1. Very old moonglow fox pelt. He was given to me as a gift when I first started collecting by my best friend. He doesn't have a tail or any of his legs and is missing his nose. Very curious fox, though. He is marked on his leather $175.00. I'm not sure where he comes from or anything of his past, but he is a sentimental piece to me.

2. Sundance (aka Sunny) the soft mount coyote. She was bought from hideandfur and mounted by my best friend who no longer collects or does taxidermy. She is my first and only soft mount at the moment. I love her to bits and wouldn't trade her for the world!

3. Silver fox face. A small piece I bought from someone here on deviantART. Silver foxes are my absolute favorite and I still have yet to own one! I thought it would be neat to at least have a piece of one since I have not yet had the opportunity to even see a full silver fox pelt. It's my dream to own one, or a dozen.

4. Red fox face. Another even smaller piece I bought from someone here on deviantART. Adorable little red fox face with shaped ears. Love this little sweetie.

5. Red coyote. One of my favorite colorations of coyote, I bought him from someone who used to previously collect. She gave me the opportunity to own him and his skull. I promised he would be treated well. He is such a beautiful boy. His face is a bit smushed from being in a plastic tub and unfortunately I just haven't been able to justify him by having him lifesized. He is full and mountable and I hope that one day I can do him just that.

6. Rain the black wolf. She was purchased from hideandfur. She is my personal wolf. I saved up a great deal and spent every last penny I had at the time just to have her and don't regret any bit of it. She is the softest thing I have ever felt (next to an arctic fox) and even softer than Sunny. I connect to her better than any of my other pelts. I don't have any plans to mount her. She was originally purchased with plans to be mounted but due to some complications with her stomach, she would most likely have to be lifesized laying down so she will probably stay a pelt. She will likely never leave my collection.

7. Kuwa the pale wolf. He was purchased from hideandfur. He is my personal wolf. To be honest, I bought this wolf on a whim. I saw him and had to have him. He was cheap due to his condition, though his head is mountable with work. Another purchase I don't regret. His fur is coarse and it was said that he was an old alpha male wolf. He is a very big boy. I mean, look at that huge head! It's almost twice the size of Rain's! I was thinking about having him headdressed but I am unsure. At the moment he will remain a pelt.

8. Riddick the black wolf. He was purchased from hideandfur by a good family friend and gifted to my boyfriend. Another cheaper purchase but with a couple of patches to his stomach and side, he would be complete. He is fully mountable in the head as well. He is also very large, sizing up Kuwa by an inch. We are both unsure of future but I am almost positive his head will at least get mounted.
