What say you, people of the dying world,
On your continued pursuit of what is not there,
What died so long ago,
Like peace, a shattered dream,
Impossible to recieve,
When war has taken your family, friends and
home,
But not your life,
as you lay awake and wonder
if anyone will miss you when you're gone,
But the answer seems to be resounding,
"No!"

And justice,
A dream replaced by a system that doesn't work,
where someone always ruins something,
like someone elses peace, life, death
by cut-throat society,
where your side and wallet size is all that matters,

And what about happiness,
does it even exist,
is it buying that new couch or
giving to an organization that
doesn't need money but begs for it anyways,
while people in Philly,
Austin,
Boston and all those other cities, all around,
starve on our own home turf,

So why don't we give up the chase and just
Shatter.
