I honestly loved OV's interpretation of Ult Spidermonkey, but one thing I wish they used were the long spider arms. All they really needed to do was bulk them up to realistically support a gorilla body, and that's exactly what I did here. I also got rid of his third set of arms because I felt like it'd be too crowded and still nothing too different. You could argue he may look a tad more mutated with the addition to the giant spider arms, but I still really like him this way. Changed the face as well, added some bracelets mimicking Spidermonkey's sashes cause I thought he could use more color.ΒUp next: RATH!

I like it; I personally would've given him an extra set of spider legs, but this fits too.Β The combination of the two versions is spectacular!

See, everyone talks about how the spider legs don't look like they'd realistically support a gorilla body, but I always imagined the strength of his spider legs was proportionate to that of an actual spider (such as the jumping spider which can holdΒ 170 times its weight.)

I never fully liked the way UA did Ult. Spidermonkey (mainly because he was literally just a gorilla with robo-legs) but I love how you kept the four arms which make him look more alien. And the face is top notch!

Awesome! Great job combining and averaging out his UA and OV designs! I love the bracelets, bulky spider legs, and head. The only criticism is the lack of the OV mandibles, which are fur here instead. So why no mandibles?

Freaking awesome! I've always liked Ultimate Spidermonkey, just a big purple gorilla with 4 eyes and 4 spider legs on his back. You know his design could have been used as like a neighbor species to the Arachnachimps, could have gone with Gorantula.

Just to point out this little minor (major) detail/point ... The markings on his stomach are wear the "spider-legs" come from ...Β
If he has one pair, shouldn't there be one marking on each side?Β
- or is it secretly two, but just merged together to make the legs more "powerful?"

The markings on his stomach were always there even on Albedoβs design, despite him not having the legs at all. I kept them because it made the stomach look bare.

I can understand removing the third pair of legs (even though I find the spider legs to be a little ridiculous-looking. At least here they look like they won't snap like toothpicks, though I question he only has a single pair instead of two; doesn't seem very supportive, if you ask me), but I was kind of hoping he would keep Spidermonkey's harness or get two of Humungousaur's sashes, as a sort of nod to Monsieur Mallah, what with both of them being gorillas.
Ah, well, I guess you can't have everything. Can't wait to see Rath!

I definitely understand how they can come off as a bit goofy-looking as a concept, a big Gorilla with spindly spider arms is a really silly visual when you break it down. I just think it's a really neat aspect, and he could use them to arrange his webs quicker and use them for spearing things.
The reason there's only one set is because someone else already did that for their own version of an non-mutated Ult Spidermonkey, and I didn't want to outright copy them. They also did the harness, and even though I REALLY wanted to do the Monsieur Mallah sash, it would've made the stomach look bare or position the sashes in an awkwardly.Β Plus, I would've had to get rid of the stripes on the stomach, and I really wanted to keep them. So, overall, I went for a look that tries to balance them all, and added the bracelets to at least have some semblance of the former look and add more color.Β

Well, this one came really fast. It's a nice detail to add both the spider legs and the second pair of arms into this Ult. Spidermonkey design, I always thought that Albedo's version was very cool but you made it look WAY cooler dude. Awesome work, can't wait for Rath and Big Chill
