Description
If there's one thing Chara doesn't understand about Sans it's the fact that though he says he's a lazy guy, he seems to do so much in a manner of minutes. She also doesn't understand why sometimes he'll walk by several times in completely different outfits, in different states of being awake and half asleep. Then there's his glasses. Papyrus convinced him to start wearing them again and uh... No one understands his glasses.Seriously, fun fact: They change colour every time you look away from them or blink. Usually it's the same colours for everyone at a range of three different colours at a time, but it's completely random! It's synonymously every colour at every time and it's in the state of being every colour until it's viewed. So uh... For one person it'll he green, but for the guy next to them it's definitely blue. To make manners even more confusing, Sans pretends that his glasses don't exist when asked about them. It's either a joke or he just doesn't know how to explain it. Actually, it's more likely that he's simply to lazy to even try to explain it, so he avoids it.
Also, people have questioned how he doesn't get dizzy from the colours that seem to be tinting his vision changing every time he blinks. He either shrugs half the time, blames magic or he says 'what glasses?' Don't worry. Everyone's confused about Sans. Everyone.

I like to think the only reason Sans isn't lazy enough to buy different clothes is to confuse everyone.
Sans your blowing minds here, stop.

... multiverse theory? That's the only explanation I could have for how Sans can possibly be Sans. Also, the glasses follow the schrodinger thing? Where it is and isn't?
(OH. SO IT IS THE COLOR AND ISN'T THE COLOR.) Interesting.
Also, just what all can Chara do?

Uh, sorta? Sans has a pretty good control over his own time and somewhat the area around him. So altering space and time slightly? Not a problem at all. Of course it's nothing to the extent of what Frisk and Flowey can and could do. Still though. It allows him to both do all of his too flipping many jobs and slack off heavily at the same time! My version of Sans has been pushed to get back into the science business as well so that's probably one of the many Sanses running around.
Also, yeah. That's basically what the glasses are.
What do you mean? Like... Ghost wise, ability wise, magic wise, hobby wise, what do you want? Just asked what she can do is a little too broad since she can do a LOT of things.

Let's start with hobbies because learning about your chara is kinda fun

Well... Sure. She can knit obviously. She knows how to cook as well. She likes to draw though tends to make cute things, messed up things or usually a mix of the two. She sometimes does other crafts like that as well. She's a rather artsy kid. Oh and she's musical too! She can play the piano decently well and was the one to get Undyne interested in it initially. She likes to write songs and I like to think she created a lot of the themes you hear in the game for different monsters and places. She tends to do these sorts of things in her spare time. That or train and talk with Undyne, Paps or bother Sans. One of them. Probably.

She's REALLY talented, wowie. What about ghost/ability wise?

InsanityCreator In reply to LightGirl312 [2016-03-15 00:18:05 +0000 UTC]
Ye.
Ghost wise, I've made rules for it. Ghosts can summon whatever they were buried with or was buried as a memorial to them. Chara can summon a bag of hers full of her old stuff that she used to always have when she was alive. She doesn't always summon it as it's rather heavy but the only set items in it so far are a sketch book, drawing utensils, knitting needles and such. The knife and locket she can also summon but they're separate from the bag. Also, ghosts are able to shift their appearance through several set stages in their life. This means that Chara could make herself appear younger if she really wanted to. Then however, there's something Chara does occasionally use. Ghosts can make themselves look like they did when they were dying and were dead throughout different stages of decay. So one thing she could potentially do is make herself look like a skeleton, but that's not what she uses it for. You know that jump scare at the end of the no mercy run? She can do that. I'll explain the science behind it being real later if you'd like. Her sickly look while she was dying is fazed permanently with her living look. All ghosts have different amounts of both fazing through their appearance. Because of it, she's a sickly pale with dark bags under her eyes most of the time.
Oh and another little ghosty thing she can do is summon the golden flowers. She doesn't usually do it on purpose. If she gets nervous they'll just start appearing on and all over her. It's kind of funny. XD
Finally the heavier something is the easier it is to go through but the harder it is for her to lift. Something like an average dinner plate? Take no effort to lift at all. If you wanted to pick up something like a big table though, that would be a lot harder and a little straining. In fact besides touching things physically she can use a little magic that she could in life. Of course, humans have hardly any magic at all so it was hard even normally to use it. She can mostly use things like fire and healing magic like her own family could do. She doesn't use her magic very often however as it's not helpful compared to it's strain. She usually just goes to her good reflexes and great fighting ability.

I suppose that answers the question of what Chara can do magically, as well. That's a lot of cool details!

Nah, you've put a great amount! Having clear, defined details about your characters is a lot better than having more-or-less abstract concepts, and that's what I'd like to be able to do.

I agree, no one can explain glasses.
Not even the people who created these glasses can explain them.
But I'm also thinking about how Chara is knitting something. c:

Pff, yeah. Well, I guess me or Sans COULD explain them but... Eh. That wouldn't be as fun. Quick hint, it has to do with the Schrodinger Cat theory.
Yeah, besides drawing, crafting, cooking and playing the piano, Chara also knits in my little universe. She's the artsy kid. The quiet artistic types? They're the ones you've gotta look out for. Seriously, I know a few. They seem innocent enough at first but their all little Charas on the inside.
Also fun fact! The sweater Frisk was wearing in the comic I made before this one was made by Chara! Just wanted to throw that in there.

InsanityCreator In reply to Lily-Seas [2016-03-12 04:24:44 +0000 UTC]
Heh. The easy way to go about it is that the glasses are simultaneously every colour and no colour at the same time. XD
That's basically exactly what it is yeah-- I mean. Chara in my stories isn't exactly a 'murder child'. Not anymore. But yeah.

N' yeah, pretty much. I mean... There is a science behind them that either I or Sans could explain but uh... Eh. It basically has to do with the Schrodinger Cat theory.

omg Schrodinger's Cat theory is the best
so are his glasses like.. every color and no color all at once?

Yup. Until viewed that's what they are. That's why they appear different every time they're looked at depending on the person.
Fun fact: Sans has done this to multiple items, most notably, shoes. He infused a pair so that they were simultaneously every kind of shoe at the same time until viewed. Though it was fun at first, it turned into a bit of--a lot of a tripping hazard. It was funny though. He would roller skate around the lab and Gaster would get so mad, only for him to suddenly stop, wearing slippers and being all like "Oh sorry, Gaster. I didn't hear you. What was that?" Okay, maybe the tripping hazard wasn't the only reason he stopped wearing them. XD
