I was aksed two draw M'Ress and Briana on all fours by a friend. Bri isn't mine to draw so I sent the pencils to GG to do with as she pleases. I in turn modified the pic and made a M'Ress from the same base drawing. Hope it fits the bill Captain.Related content

Once TNG took off the cartoon was suddenly not canon.

Roddenberry apparently had a hand in that, saying that TAS was no longer canon. Which makes no sense to me, since, while a little cheesy(ier), it was perfectly fine. It fleshed out quite a bit of Trek, and let them do things that the special effects departments of the time weren't capable of, most notably aliens who were, y'know, ALIENS, and not just people with prosthetic foreheads on their heads. (Like M'Ress (yay!) and Lt. Arex.)
One of the odder yet interesting things about that whole brouhaha, is that M'Ress and Arex eventually did the Time Warp, and became regular characters in the New Frontiers book line. Which reminds me, I should look for them sometime....

I was in the stores the day the DVD release for TAS. I think the series is great. Obviously a bit harder to tell the stories they wanted to with less than 30 min but there are some outstanding ideas there. I tip my hat to DC Fontana
