This should be categorized as digital art. I see you did a bit of shading on the trees; you might as well shade everything else if you want to to make it look more 3-D. Personally, I think the explosion needs to branch out more or something to make look like something that bursted. The composition is pretty balanced. The overlapping objects give a sense of depth to the overwiste flat look.
