A symbiote of two separate organisms, also known as a holobionts, kelts are made up of a red spongey plant, known as photopora, that lives in symbiosis with a small often colorful filter feeding animal, known as anthoceps. The symbiote forms the bases of a reef like biome home to a wide diversity of life.
