[link]Local skaters want to have lights so they can use the public park at night. The local police and council claim it would encourage delinquent behavior with local youth and make the area more susceptible to vandalism.
Beau and I support the skaters and attended the rally at the park to show our support. This image is a group of boarders inside the skate pit. I purposely edited the shot as high contrast and dark to insinuate... no lights...

Local councils throughout the world have the same problem - stupid shortsighted people with a feeling of self importance ! Organised play area keep all the youths in one place so at least the authorities know where they are - bit like pubs and drunks . If there was no thing they'd just spread over a larger area and the voters would then complain about lack of facilities .
