Hi Gayle! My brother-in-law (an estate manager) had one of these dogs - beautiful and hard-working, utterly loyal, and very, very clever. I was tempted to buy one when my dog died many years ago, but with having two cats I decided against it.

You are correct, Gayle - a dog would be a no-no, although Tom is quite tolerant of dogs provided they do not show me any attention. He is a bit jealous!
