That's really cool---in the thumbnail of it, it looked like various Asian characters--as if it were illuminated from behind nice work!

In the gallery they did seem very life like. It was a gallery in Deventer, Netherlands. Thank you for commenting. This is a good photo of one of the statues... it is not mine, but gives you an idea of how real they are. [link]

Your kind... I so appreciate that... it was a cool gallery... in The Netherlands... The life size sculptures were so real, and these smaller ones were carved to perfection...
Very low gallery lighting made it difficult to shoot... hence the more abstract quality. The gallery curator was generous to let us photograph all the art...

It's funny, I couldn't think of the appropriate words to say when I saw it. Still can't!

It was in a little corner shop in Deventer, Netherlands. The proprietor had imported the entire collection from a Laotian sculptor that had studied the Madame Tussaud Wax technique. The collection went from life size to 5 inches tall. All in wax and absolutely amazing. The entire collection was of Buddhist Monks. I loved the peacefulness while in the gallery.
