Hey Roelie

Unfortunately, the ones I have of her where she is looking straight at the camera isn't as nice as this one. Would you suggest that I crop this one to create space on the right? For interest sake, would this bother all photographers (on your level) or is this just your personal view.

The photograph is pleasing enough as is, it is a minor thing that just bothered my eye after spending some time on it. If it was my photo I would leave it as is, but just it's just a suggestion for things to look out when you look through the lens.

I am just an amateur photographer with way too little time to spend on my hobby. I belong to the Centurion Camera Club, and we have 4 catagories in which we can enter photos every month for judging: digital, print colour, print monochrome and slides. You can enter 3 photos per catagory and every 2nd month we have a theme competition added, in which you can enter 2 photos per catagory. That means it's a lot of photos if you want to enter photos every month. I do not take slides at all, but I do enter photos for all the others. But I have to listen to a lot of critisism (and sometimes praise) of my entries - but it forces me to be very self critical.

The whole idea behind it all is to advance your star grading in the club (you start a 1 star and then move up to 5 star) and also for the throphy of photographer of the year.

So whet I crit your photos it's meant as a compliment that your work is at a level where it's good enough to be noticed, and I belive we can only get better if we evaluate each other's work.
