Description
For the lazy mornings you'd curl against my neck and purr. For the innocent way you'd stretch a paw out to lightly touch my head while I slept.
For the late nights when you'd lay beside me as I tried to finish just one more thing before bed.
For your butterfly and grasshopper hunts that never failed to make me smile.
For your lovable clumsiness that always made everyone laugh.
For your curious nature that made you bold and, at times, a little obnoxious.
For being a member of the 'welcoming committee' when I'd get home from work at 12am at night.
For cuddling with your mate, Zurabi, who misses you more than you'll ever know.
For your best friend, Goob; the wrestling matches you two shared were epic and fun.
For your ever talkative mentor, Sweetie, who sat by my side in silence the day we found you gone.
For Ed, your owner, who tenderly wrapped you in his shirt when we placed your body to rest.
For Ryven, the little boy who will never get to know you as Ed and I were able to.
For the time you knocked my ring into the air vent, an event I would gladly do again if it meant having you back.
You weren't with us long but you brought so much into our lives in that small amount of time.
So run wild and free; far away from the pain that still lingers on here in your absence.
Find Keesha and Dagger and be sure to give them both some of your charm and some of my love.
Heaven gained a wonderful cat that day.
We'll miss you, buddy.

Aw, I'm so sorry hun. I miss my passed on kitties too. Fabric (what a great name!!) sounded pretty amazing. And I hate it when people tread on water or try to forget about pets that have passed on. I prefer to remember all of the great memories about said animal rather than put the fact they've passed out of their minds. They've just gotta remember they're in a better place now. And I know, its perfectly alright to miss them, but I think its a hell of a lot more fun to remember them.

Here here! I agree with you on that one. Every time I see a cabbage moth (little white butterflies we get around here); I can't help but remember him and smile. He used to chase those things around so much and, somehow, I feel like he's right there for a minute when one flutters by.
