Description
For a contest over at TLKFAA. This is Malka's mother ^^I named her Huvaliwa, which means 'worn out' in Swahili.
~~~
Huvaliwa's eyes fluttered open. She sighed and rolled over, paws patting beside her belly, where her son, Malka, usually slept. But she didn't feel the warm, fuzzy body of her son. Instead, she felt cold dirt.
Groaning, she heaved herself to her paws and padded to the entrance of the den. There was no sign of him, and none of the pridemembers had seen him since early that morning.
Blinking her emerald eyes against the wind that always blew, the rich ginger lioness walked a ways from the pride and looked down at the dirt. It was there that she spied little paw-prints, smudged from dust blowing with the breeze.
Huvaliwa had learned that when Malka runs off, there's no need to be worried. She usually finds him, because he leaves pawprints and his scent is always very distinctive; the scent of mischief.
Blinking tiredly, the pretty lioness sighed, "Not again," and followed the pawprints into the dust.
