Description I am the girl in the corner.
The girl without a name.
The girl no one talks to.
The girl with no shame.

I am the girl with the smile of hate
and the fist of revenge.

----------------------------

Id rather not be called by any name. I think this title is enough for me. I will not tell you my name for I no longer believe I deserve or need one. It has been exactly a year since the accident and 2 months since my own. My father disappeared this morning. I don't think he will come back. I've decided that I will continue to go to school merely so people will not come looking for me.

Not that anyone will realize that I am there. but, it seems that people do notice when I am gone. This is the only reminder that I am still alive. The uncomfortable feeling of my absence that causes teachers to call and visit my home. I'd like to erase all evidence of me existing from this world but sadly it's not that easy. I've wanted to punch so many people but have restrained to all but my father. But then again you get what you ask for right.

My feelings haven't changed since 2 months ago. I still wish to be free of this world. But I have yet to find a way to disappear silently. If I ever find a way I assure you it will be the last you hear from me.

But sadly it does not work that way. People notice when I'm gone and people will notice when I die. I don't want to be the reason the teacher talks to the class saying "you need to be kind to everyone. Who approached ____ ( see I told you I wouldn't tell you) and talked to her. Any of you.., it is all of your faults that she died." I'm sure it wouldn't go down exactly that way but whatever is not said would simply be implied.

They would all have a full day of torture and then maybe one or two of them will actually believe it. They will believe that my death was their fault an that will simply cause them to become like me and continue the cycle. I do not wish for this I just want to disappear. For that reason I will live.

These were the thoughts that raced through my head on my way home from school. Once again an inner conversation with no one in particular.

My dirty blond shoulder length hair gleaming brown in the fall sun and curling awkwardly around my ears. my fingers still chilled in my pockets. The leaves had all fallen long ago and now none of them rest on the ground. The trees bare and now as helpless as I feel. My light brown eyes staring blatantly at my feet watching each step as if my next one may be an involuntary surprise.

I sat down on a bench not ready to return to the empty apartment that my father probably stopped paying for long ago. As I thought about it I realized I'd probably get kicked out soon anyways.

As I sat there a small boy from the park nearby ran up to me. He quickly clamored under the bench and hid behind my legs. Not too soon after an older boy probably around my age maybe a year or two younger ran over. He approached me a slight smirk on his face as the child peeked out from behind my legs to see what was going on. He quickly pulled his head back in and clung to the backs of my legs for protection.

"You haven't happened to of see a 3 year old boy around this tall have you?" The teenager in front of me asked holding his hand just below his hip trying to hide his smile. "I'm afraid I haven't" I said trying to cover for the small runaway. I could soon hear giggling from behind my legs and a small face pressing into them trying to end his fit of laughter.

"Oh really?" the teen said questioningly I nodded smiling for the first time in a while. "Yeah, the one your looking for though, maybe if I knew more about him I could help you." "-" I cut him off "did he have thick dark brown curly hair?" "Yes" "how about shiny blue eyes?" "Yes! so have you seen him?" "Nope" I said looking down at my school bag and pulling out a book.

The giggling continued and grew rather loud. "What are those sounds!?!" He said pretending to be confused. "Oh it must be my stomach I'm rather hungry." I said putting an arm around my stomach and leaning over slightly so as to give the appearance of starving. "Is that so?" The teen questioned getting a rather pleased look on his face.

"Yeah I haven't eaten since lunch" I dragged out the sentence so as to make them think that was a long time ago. The giggling continued. "Well since you've been so kind in helping me try to find my brother I think I could buy you a crepe." The boy added "if only Matthew were here to get one but I guess what he doesn't know won't hurt him." The boy ran from behind my legs. "I'm here I want a crepe!" The small boy who must have been Matthew announced.

Ignoring Matthew the teen approached me and stuck out his hand. I stuck out my hand and shook his. "My name is Trevor" the teen said cheerfully. "It's nice to meet you Trevor" I greeted him. "Well I do believe I owe you a crepe" Trevor said politely pulling me off the bench. "Do you now?" I said questioningly wondering why his act has not ended. "You better share with me" Matthew whispered from my side while tugging on my skirt.

I somehow got dragged to a crepe stand and then a bench where I sat with them and we each ate our own crepe. "So you never told me your name" Trevor stated almost accusingly. I sat there silently for a moment before Matthew burst in with whipped cream on his nose "yeah, you know our names. now you got to tell us yours." I smiled down at him holding back laughter.

"How about this. We'll make it a game!" I said as enthusiastically as I could. "A game?" He echoed "how?" "You have to try and guess it." I said with a cunning smile. "Alright" the boy nodded "but, if I can guess your name you have to become my brothers girlfriend" the small boy said as if it were only natural.

His brother interjecting himself into the conversation "Matthew you can't just say those things" "how about it?" The small boy said sticking out his hand to seal the deal. For some reason I put my hand out and shook his saying "deal" his brother sitting beside us his bottom jaw practically on the floor. Still in shock of what happened he sat there dumb founded.

"Will you be here tomorrow?" Matthew questioned. "I walk this way every day after school if I see you guys I'll stop and say hi" I said a business smile on my face. I let go of Matthew's hand and stood up. "I'll  see you both tomorrow then" I said walking off. Unsure of what I just got myself into. I burst into random fits of laughter throughout my walk home. That was the most fun I've had since my mother died. Heck I haven't had fun since my mom first got sick. I continued walking so happily I was tempted to skip.
