PLEASE NOTE: This was just a quick test for some speedpaint ideas I wanted to try out. The sketch I used for lineart was done very quickly without regard to anatomy and such. Future work of this nature will be done with a proper base.

So please, no critique unless it's about the coloring method itself, not the image as a whole.

It's been a very long time since I've done realism, mainly because I have a lot of trouble with things like lighting, texture, and color. This piece was done to practice and test perception tricks, not to make a final product. But it turned out well enough that I tentatively decided to post it anyway. I'm not very satisfied with it since I didn't implement texture or a well-rendered pose, but I figured you guys might like it.

I might redo this piece with good lineart for a base, but it's hard to say for sure.

btw, the size you're seeing it at is about 25% of the original proportions.
