This character is for a game I am making. The image is her rough description of her at 16 Gifted years.
(Her abilities may seem OP but the enemies she has to fight are pretty OP as well and many are immune to her moves.)

Weapons:
ManaTech Shotgun: A standard-issue shotgun that runs on Mana and fires out a spread of magic projectiles based on the Gifted's powers, but can also fire out nonmagical shots. She rarely uses it unless facing armored foes at near range.
Dual combat knives: Amber loves these as she prefers melee combat. She infuses them with fire to burn her foes or wind to cut them up even more.

Abilities and Strengths (Gifted Female):
Guardian: Amber can send out her Guardian Firewhirl to fight. (See below)
Immortality: Being a Gifted, Amber can only be killed for real if both her and Firewhirl are killed off. However, Firewhirl can regenerate Amber if she is killed. Likewise, Amber can regenerate Firewhirl from inside her if Firewhirl is killed, but this takes a longer time.
Disease and Poison Immunity: Magic in the blood of a Gifted cleanses diseases and poisons in the bloodstream, curing them of said problems. Addictive substances aren't as easy to clean, however.
Telepathy (1-way): Amber can send telepathic messages to other beings nearby if she doesn't have her Guardian around, but cannot read minds. She'll use Firewhirl to send messages otherwise.

Weaknesses and Limitations (Gifted Female):
Terran durability: Amber's durability is similar to a regular Terran, meaning that she is easy to kill if she doesn't avoid attacks. Furthermore, her defenses are compromised by weakness to blunt attacks (See Vulnerable to earth).
Techbane: While most Gifted find it ok to use most forms of technology, they will fail if they channel their power around them as the mana produced shorts their circuits. Most technology will need to either run on mana itself or be mana-proofed before Gifted can use them without fear of spoiling them.
Soul hunger: All Gifted have to absorb sentient souls to keep their connection to the Arcane dimension, and subsequently, their Guardian alive. Souls is stored in the Guardian as a reserve. If their soul reserves run out (one consumed per week), their Guardian will take over and force them into a frenzy to kill the nearest sentient beings to absorb their soul. If they fail to find any sentient beings nearby, the Guardian will consume the soul of their host and emerge as an Arcane.

Abilities and Strengths(Amber):
Mastery over the gaseous state of matter: Amber can create/manipulate/destroy gases, sense the movement of gases, as well as transform other solids, liquid, gas or plasma into gaseous matter of her choice. She is unable to transform gases back into any other state of matter. This ability is magical in nature, and can be cancelled by sufficient anti-magic abilities. She cannot manipulate or transmute beings made of energy.
Mastery over heat: Amber can manipulate heat and flame, helping her with her gas-based powers. She can create flames naturally and also add heat to objects. This ability is magical in nature, and can be cancelled by sufficient anti-magic abilities.
Flight: By manipulating convection and air currents, Amber can fly through the air.
Elemental Shapeshifting: Thanks to studying biology, Amber can easily shapeshift into flames and gas to move around before reforming herself. This increases mana consumption and thus increases her soul hunger faster (See Soul Hunger)
Absorbs fire: Having an affinity with Fire, Amber can absorb heat and flames to regenerate herself.
Absorbs air and gases: Having an affinity with Wind, Amber can absorb air and gas from around her to regenerate herself.
Well-Trained soldier: Trained to fight as a soldier from young, Amber is extremely skilled at melee, ranged, and magical combat, as well as avoiding attacks.

Weaknesses (Amber):
Vulnerable to cold: Having an affinity with Fire, Amber does not take very well to cold. She freezes easily, suffers hypothermia easily and at higher temperatures than most people, and frostbite take a much longer time to heal for her.
Vulnerable to earth: Having an affinity with Wind, Amber does not take very well to Earth and solids. She suffers extra damage from most blunt physical attacks, which will break her bones more often than not.
Vacuum weakness: Just like a fire or wind, Amber finds it extremely hard to survive in a vacuum. She will die extremely fast (much faster than a Terran) if she does not constantly create an air bubble around her.
Claustrophobia: Amber will hesitate to perform actions and become nauseous if in an enclosed space.
Fear of lizards: Amber will hesitate to perform actions if she can see anything moving that vaguely resembles a lizard.

Fighting Style:
Amber tends to charge into a fight, recklessly and without care for her safety. She prefers close range combat with her knives while deftly manouvering over the place via wall jumps and flight, but will mentally cast channeled spells like air cutters, mini-tornadoes, explosions and flames to hit for great damage. Stronger spells are cast through her hands.

Amber can detect any movements in the air, allowing her to sense opponents around her. She can manipulate any amount of gas within a 200-metre radius, which can be extended at the cost of soul consumption. If attacked, Amber will usually try to avoid via her dodging skills, enhanced via wind magic. If anattack looks too tough to evade, she will transform into air and rematerialize, although time spent in a gaseous state will increase soul hunger.

The rest of her fighting style involves using powers creatively, such as blowing foes off their feet. She tends to use "creative" spells less often than Calia, preferring to be more direct.

Amber can inflict a curse on material foes. Any foe coming into contact with her, her knives or her flames can be immediately turned into a gas of her choice (Amber prefers oxygen), usually killing them instantly. This does not affect energy beings like Arcanes or Meta, or those protected with energy armor or energy shields.

Amber will usually try to keep any collateral damage to a minimum, but this restriction is off if she's angry. This is one reason why she is reluctant to use her massive-area spells- the other being that her strongest spells increase soulfood consumption.

Team Support:
If fighting alongside a team member, Amber will sometimes use her magic to assist them, usually by giving them her blessing. Once Amber's blessing has been bestowed on a person, their movements will be enhanced by wind, allowing faster evasion, dexterity and speed. It also renders the person immune to fire- and wind- based attacks. The blessing is temporary and will wear off after 5 minutes or so.

Other magics used to help allies are to create oxygen for breathing underwater, using knockout gas to incapacitate foes, or binding foes with air currents.

Mundane uses for powers:
Warming up the air or liquids around her.
Starting a fire for cooking/lighting up cigarettes.
Flight via air currents.
Creating oxygen underwater to breathe in (note: trying to rapidly create oxygen around her entire body in a vacuum costs soulfood)
Powering up wind generators.
Creation of gaseous resources- she can mass-produce gaseous resources. This does consume soulfood if done in large amounts, however.
Making it sunny by blowing away the clouds, or making it rain by heating seawater to form clouds then blowing the clouds.
Lighting up the area.
Pyrotechnics.

Personality:
As a young girl, Amber was her mother's favourite, while her father, Planetary Commander Starwind treated her harshly. He could see potential in his daughter, but he felt that she wasn't able to use it well. As he wanted his daughter to grow up to be like him, Starwind got the army to train his daughter how to fight since young, making her develop a fierce, impulsive, combat happy attitude. Even though Amber could fight well, he still thought she wasn't good enough and neglected her due to his busy schedule. This gives Amber some resentment towards her dad and makes her generally disobedient, but also motivates her to try to impress her father. Due to neglect, Amber often daydreams when she's at home with her father.

Amber fought her first battle on another planet when she was still a child. She made her first kills and saw both enemies and allies die around her. While she loved the adrenaline rush, the deaths of people initially traumatized her. After more battles, Amber became desensitized to death and killing, but her thirst for battle became even stronger.

When Amber was old enough to be eligible for ranking, her father gave her rank upgrades faster than other people. Even still, Commander Starwind still feels like she can improve further, particularly when it comes to curbing her disobedience, impulsiveness and indecisiveness that often tends to get her squad killed.

Amber is very passionate and enthusiastic at almost everything she does, mostly as an attempt to please her dad. She's also quite encouraging to allies and troops under her, and knows how to motivate them to fight. She resents the army's strict policies and would rather do what she wants.

Amber will often request for a fight when she meets somebody new. Your best bet is to turn her down, even though she'll inevitably ridicule you for your "cowardice". When not in "fight" mode, she'll often be daydreaming with her head in the clouds. Sometimes literally. She also tends to go for "burn it" as the first answer to many problems.

Personality Strengths:
Hot Blooded: Amber is extremely passionate and enthusiastic in most of the things she does. This means that she'll be putting her effort into almost everything.
Determined: Due to her enthusiastic and passionate nature, it's hard to make Amber give up. It's less difficult to change her decisions.
Encouraging: Being the leader of a squad, Amber knows how to encourage others and brighten their spirits.
Carefree: Amber is not weighed down by sadness, anxiety or other emotions that burden her- those are seen as weakness that should be thrown away. Phobias will still affect her (See above).
Flexible: While Calia is very stubborn and insists that everybody follow her, Amber allows a greater amount of flexibility in her orders and rules. People who want freedom in the rules will like her.

Personality Weaknesses:
Arrogance: Amber is very proud of her power and will not hesitate to show it off and flaunt it. Combined with impulsiveness, this can be very dangerous.
Impulsiveness: Amber is extremely impulsive and impatient. She will almost always rush straight into a battle without plans and without caring for her own safety.
Violent: Amber's first reaction to new stuff and problems generally tends to be "burn it", or "kill it", due to her love for battle and fighting.
Fickle: Unlike Calia who's too focused, Amber's mind changes often on a whim. This can lead to derailment of plans, not helped by her tendency to rush into battle.
Disobedient: Don't expect Amber to follow the rules often. Oftentimes she does stuff on her own accord, although it'll usually be something that benefits the team.

Other notes:
Amber's body temperature is slightly higher than normal.
Amber can cook hot foods very well. Letting her cook cold food (including iced water and sashimi) will turn out badly for her.
Amber will only reserve her love for the man who beats her in a melee fight. None have proved successful so far.
Amber loves spicy foods and will tend to put chilli on her food if it isn't spicy. She hates cold foods and cannot take cold dessert (see Vulnerable to cold).
Amber's chest size is actually larger than this, but she wears a hyperspace portal bra to keep her breasts somewhere else so they won't get in the way.
Amber will usually call others "mister/miss/mrs ____" as a taunt. For example, she calls Calia "miss boring", and Chiharu  "miss flowers".
Amber finds most children irresistably cute. Keep your kids' cheeks safe or she'll squish them in and out like no tomorrow.

Description:
Firewhirl resembles a large swirling mass of flames, but likes to take on the form of a flaming bird.

Abilities and Strengths:
Intangibility: As a being made of magical energy, Firewhirl is invulnerable to physical damage. Enchanted and energy weapons can harm her.
Mastery over the gaseous state of matter: Like Amber, Firewhirl can create/manipulate/destroy gases, sense the movement of gases, as well as transform other solids, liquid, gas or plasma into gaseous matter of her choice. She is unable to transform gases back into any other state of matter. 
Mastery over heat: Firewhirl can manipulate heat and flames, helping her with her gas-based powers. She can add heat to an area by infusing it with energy.
Absorbs gases and air: Firewhirl is able to absorb both gases and air, healing itself.
Vacuum survivability: Unlike Amber, Firewhirl can constantly produce large amounts of gases that allow her to survive in a vacuum.

Weaknesses:
Vulnerable to cold: Having an affinity with Fire, Firewhirl is vulnerable to ice, which lowers her temperature and smothers her flames.
Vulnerable to earth: Having an affinity with Wind, Firewhirl is vulnerable to earth. Hard solid objects block her, as well as disperse or smother her flames.
Huge soul consumption: Every time Firewhirl is outside Amber's body, her hunger for souls increases greatly as time passes. (See Soul Hunger above)

She'd love to be in a volcano, but she wouldn't go into the magma. That stuff is rather hard for her to move through.

Nice! Her powers fit her hot-headed personality perfectly, and her weaknesses are appropriate for her fire powers. She seems like she'd make a good foil to Calia.

She is, and in fact she's also a rival (and a Duel Boss for that matter). Also, each girl's Guardian acts as a foil to the Gifted.
