Bombs went off, bullets flying through the air, just the way Brawler liked it. Hey, she couldn't help it if she had been raised in a very chaotic life since she was little. When her parents died around her toddler years, she was handed over by the state to her uncle. He was a good man, but he ran a large gang of illegal street fighting rings. So guess who jumped into the fight when she first got the chance? Yep, Brawler did, and now she get's to fight with the RED team just because she fights so much, she rarely ever uses any of her weapons unless they're her steel capped boots that she never takes off or her brass knucklers. But right now she had a very serious problem, one of the only people who actually treated her decently had gone missing on a ceasefire day. Brawler had asked around, no one had seen her brotherly figure since the night before and Brawler knew exactly where he was.
She had stormed out of the RED base with every intention of ripping the BLU's apart when she was stopped by Spy. He knew the predicament they were in and offered to get the others. Shocked by his kindness because Spy was one of the men who thought that Brawler should not even be on the team, Brawler cautiously accepted his offer, launching into the fight as soon as RED team set forth.
And that's how she got here, desperately trying to get to the BLU base without being spotted or attacked. Demo blazed past her, shooting sticky bombs as he ran for cover, giving her a chance to dart behind him towards the back of the BLU base. Slipping undetected, she ran down hallways, looking in all of the rooms and nooks and crannys she could find. Stumbling into an empty room, she noticed there appeared to be a metal door in the back, shouting and cries of pain came from behind it and Brawler felt rage build in her system until she was livid. Roaring a battle cry she ran towards the door and threw herself into it, tearing the full thing out of the walls and sending the both of them crashing to the floor. She had felt something snap in her shoulder when she hit the door but she paid it no mind as she stood up and snarled at the scene before her. Scout had his hands tied together in front of him and those in turn were attached to a chain that was hanging from the ceiling.
The guy was covered in gashes and blood dripped from him and his arms. He was bare-chested, the wounds there making Brawler's heart clench with worry until she turned her murderous gaze to the BLU Spy staring at her in shock. She chuckled and started owards him, cracking her knuckles the whole way.
"Boy, I'm about tah teach you the meaning of pain." She growled, her voice darkening with every syllable. BLU Spy sneered at her before cloaking and against her better judgment, she rushed over to Scout as he weakly smiled at her.
"Hey...B-brawler..."
"Shut up and save your breath bro." She murmured before ripping the rope from his hands, slowly starting to feel her shoulder's screaming pain as the adrenaline wore down. Scout collapsed as soon as the chain stopped supporting him and Brawler gently caught him in her arms.
"Come on, let's get you back to base." She stated before slowly beginning to half carry and half drag him back to RED base. A cold voice beind her stopped their movement and she started growling in her throat.
"I don't believe you will be going anywhere mon ami." BLU Spy drawled behind her. Brawler chuckled as she gently set Scout down, making sure to keep herself between Spy and him.
"What makes you say that?"
"Well, I will ztop of course."
Brawler got into a stance and made the 'come hither' motion with her finger.
"Bring it Frenchie." She taunted before the masked BLU man chuckled and disappeared. Standing over Scout protectively, Brawler kept looking around, changing direction every time so she could see all around her.
A flash of metal came from her side and she barely dodged the swing from a butterfly knife that would have ended up in the back of her head. Instead, as she turned to face where the swing had come from, the knife sliced a deep gash through her forehead just above her eyebrow. Growling, she blindly swung out, feeling her knuckles brush fabric, meaning the Spy jumped back. Closing one eye that was now useless thanks to he blood dribbling down her face, she calmed herself and turned to where the BLU Spy now stood, knife at the ready and in position to attack. No sooner had Brawler registered him standing there did the man spring for her with full intention of sinking the knife into her throat. Dodging backwards and stepping over Scout, Brawler grabbed onto the Spy's sides, is eyes widening in shock as she left herself wide open to attack in favor of throwing Spy over her head.
He wet sailing behind her and she turned and ran after him, knowing he would land on his feet like a freaking cat. Sure enough, Spy landed on his feet and spun around with his knife at the ready as Brawler threw herself at him. She knocked him clean off his feet and the two started rolling and tussling on the floor, "Give me the dang knife!" Brwler screamed. The two trying to get control of the knife between them. Brawler was having trouble due to the mans larger size but Spy was also having trouble because of the stupid woman's stubbornness. Spy threw a punch at her face and Brawler failed to dodge it, adding a nice shiner to her growing list of wounds before she retaliated with a swing of her own, catching Spy under the chin and making him lose his balance for a split second, long enough for Brawler to grab the knife and push him off of herself.
"Argh, crap..." Brawler muttered, feeling her pain really start to make itself known as she threw the knife behind her, knowing it would be useless, especially since Spy had a gun.
Not taking any chances, she kicked him while he was down, knocking the man out, hopefully long enough to escape with Scout.
Running back over to her adoptive brother, Brawler was in near hysterics at the lack of response from the guy.
"Scout?! Come on answer me!" She cried, gasping in relief as his eyes opened and he smirked at her.
"W-what....you mis-ssed me already?"
She laughed through her tears before pulling him up onto her back in a piggy-back like fashion. Wrapping his arms around her neck, she held onto them as his feet dragged behind them, him being taller than her.
"I'm getting you out of here." She whispered to him, climbing over the metal door and retracing her steps back onto the battlefield. She drug Scout all the way behind some crates until the adrenaline finally drained from her system and they collapsed behind a pile of crates. Brawler moved Scout next to her as gently as she could before wrapping her arms around her head.
"There they are!" She heard a faint voice bellow, a faint smile crossing her lips knowing the only man who could reach that decibel when shouting. She could feel consciousness start to ebb in and out as she fought to stay awake. The sounds of battle started to fade out until she felt something land next to her. Blearily opening her eyes, she found herself looking at Soldier as he crouched next to her and Scout. He placed a firm hand on Brawlers uninjured shoulder and gave her a grim smile.
"I got ya Private. Ya did good." Soon others joined him and as she felt Heavy take Scout out of her arms, Brawler fell forward, Solly just catching her before she hit the ground and lifted her into his arms. She hung there unresponsive and Soldier felt a twinge of worry for the woman as he took off running after Heavy for the infirmary.

'Please be okay...'
