Eir never regret her choices so much.

The young female was part of one of the Tar rots, known to be more aggressive than most hunds, specially toward strangers and big cats. From an early age she learned that if she wanted to be left alone she had to act tough, ready to take on anything. That was hard to pull when your build is small and delicate, but it just had to be done. Eir learned how to take down those bigger than her, mostly using their arrogance and weight against them. Wasn't that hard, one who would belittle their opponent so easily would just as easily fall by her paws and teeth.

When the meteor became visible to the Tar clan some of its composing rots reunited to decide what should be done. Eir sat far from them, just hoping she wouldn't be pulled into this mess. Of course, her hopes would be in vain. One of their older hunds called to her, she grimaced, but went without a word.

"You were one of the chosen ones to go where the meteor will fall. You're young and strong, we're sure you'll do well." he said, but all Eir could think was how expendable she was to the rot. Strong enough to maybe survive, yet unimportant enough not to be missed in case she doesn't make it. With a soft sigh, she not her head once and walked to the border of their territory.

She'd spend the next week running towards the fire ball, regretting not leaving the clan earlier and giving up on keeping up appearances and looking strong for those who never cared about her.
