Description
Thanks for checking this out! This has been more of an experiment than anything else. I spent the day looking at a number of shading and lineart tutorials on dA and the web and wanted to see how they work with my art-style. Turns out they aren't ^^ Nevertheless I have finished the drawing and wanted upload it to dA. The road to perfection is bumpy, and this drawing happened to hit one of these bumpsThe main difference to my usual art would be the colored lineart. Something that I can see working in different ways, but not if I want to maintain the overall stylized comic style of my drawings.
I am quite fond of the overall concept though - two of my OCs taking picture's while dressing as the roman general Silanus. This is done in anticipation of the The Creative Assembly's upcoming game Total War: Rome II. The guy taking the picture is Erik.
Erik

thanks you make melaugth so hard, now that i think when Marius decide to eploy normal people, farmer or low class to form an army to defend rome against the barbarian, it was new, because in the time all roman legions were form with nobles, or people that have resources, Marius form his army with farmers or low class, he train them, make them mach, beign call Marius mules, but this mule win the war against the barbarians, and defend Rome andseen Marius beign name consul of Rome, now think about these, Marius choose the people, telling them they must defend themself against a legionare, and he was impress that farmers, common farmers, merchands that never figth could defend and sometimes defeat a legionare, so imagine a common man in those days could do that, and well today, well i dont see a common man managing to figth against a soldier, a comon man wiouth any figthing trainig, i couldnt i know, also you are rigth i also i a a little fat so i dont see miself in a legionare armor

Hehe, thanks for your reply - I appreciate it a lot. It means a lot coming from someone with your skill (even though I would say our art is fundamentally different ).
Have a nice day.

Thanks Tsuki, I'm glad to hear that. I would've liked to play with that fact a little more (the belly) but unfortunately the pose didn't really allow this. Next time
Thanks again for the feedback!

I like this a lot!
The idea is pretty fun. And the coloured lineart looks really nice, I think! Though, I do think your style compliments black outline more so. ^.^

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you like it. The more I look at the, the more I think the idea was good but I should've approached it differenlty - somehow. And I believe you are absolutley right as far as the lineart is concerned. Black is the way to go unless I change my style.
Thanks!

You're very welcome! I can understand what you're trying to say... Like maybe we could have seen Erik a bit better. Anyway, I still like it a lot!
That's right, I'm glad you agree. But it was a good idea to test new lineart!
No problem!
