|| Parentage ||

//Father: Dorchadas, or simply Dorcha, meaning 'Darkness' in his old tongue. From an old line of Connemaras descended from true Irish blood. Born member of bachelor herd. Very strict and harsh, saw his first born son as a way to greatness. He felt the need to train his son to be the strongest of fighters and would see nothing wrong with beating him if he did the smallest thing wrong. There would be little praise from him, and he would often tell his son that he was worthless and would be better off dead. He did hold some affection in his heart for the boy, but he would never show it. However, this affection seem to deteriorate as the boy grew older and showed no signs of growing as strong as Dorcha had hoped.

//Mother: Aliee, a loner bullied into the herd. Beautiful and quiet, yet silently deadly. Was able to hold her own against most stallions, though was subdued by Ri's father as he saw her as the perfect mare to bare his perfect child. She loved her child with her whole heart, though she would never object when Dorcha would insist on him training all day and night. She would often not see him for days and he would stumble back with his father, bloodied and beaten, shaking and on the edge of breaking point. Whenever this happened, she wouldn't say a word, and instead would simply tend to his wounds and allow him to curl up against her.

|| Personality ||

intelligent // manipulative // changeable // vicious //  silver-tongued // confident // distant // cold

//intelligent
"I'm surrounded by idiots."

Whether this is learned, or something he was born with and simply honed during his childhood, it is unknown, but Ri is intelligent by any horse's standards. He is quick to pick anything up, something which was a must when he was trained as a foal. His father expected everything to be perfect first time. He is able to see a solution in most problems without even having to think, and when made to fight, he can easily just read off his opponent's weakness and use it against him in lue of simply relying on brute strength.

//manipulative
"I get what I want, when I want."

With the exception of his father, Ri has always found it easy to get round everyone. A quick it comes with his intelligence, and an even quicker mouth allows him to easily charm any horse into believing he is the perfect gentleman. However, the only time it has been known for him to show kindness is when he is after something, no matter if that is just a /good night/, or something more difficult to obtain. Once he has someone caught up in his spell and trapped down the rabbit hole, he will twist and use them as he sees fit. And when he has no further use for them, he will simply throw them aside as if they meant nothing to him.

//changeable
"Honey, I'm sooo changeable."

Ri is constantly switching between emotions, as if his mind can't seem to pick which one it should stick with. At times, it almost seems like he has multiple personalities by how quickly he will switch to something completely different, however, most have come to realise that that's just him. He will also change his mind on a pinpoint, and he will say one thing one minute, then switch his ideas round and say something else the next. He is not stupid though. Every change of mind he makes is all part of his 'bigger plan' and will have all be thought out and calculated beforehand.

//vicious
"Do that again and I'll skin you and turn you into shoes."

There is a dark, deep seated sadistic streak that runs through the centre of Ri's heart. He enjoys causing other's pain, and generally just seeing the others that have wronged him suffer. He feels no guilt about wounding someone, and whenever he feels the need to take on another stallion, he will enjoy it as long as there is blood. His mood also reflects this, and it is always advisable to keep on his good side, otherwise you may find your throat slit in your sleep. Then again, from Ri's standards, that would be a kind way to go. His eyes are the only give away when he falls into the darker mind-set, and the usually, almost doe-ish chocolate browns will turn to a near black colour. He is known to be ruthless and aggressive during matings too, not caring for whoever his partner is, or their preferences. If said partner comes out of it with only a few scratches, they are thought to be lucky and to have passed his test.

//silver-tongued
"Lie? What? Me? Never."

With Ri's intelligence and quick wit comes a very well-honed ability to lie. Could be linked with his manipulative nature, but it seems more than that. He gets a kick out of lying to someone, even more so when it works out perfectly as he planned. Often, he will find himself just speaking them without thinking, as if he does not wish to tell the truth about anything. Most lies will come when he is asked a question about himself, as he has something against telling others anything about his past, or even something as simple as his name.

//confident
"I am right. Now all of you can shut up."

Ri is always very sure of himself. He knows what he wants, and he is never afraid to just go out there and get it. He will talk to who he wants when he wants, even if it may get him hurt. He feels no shame, and will do pretty much anything to amuse himself. This also shows with how much of a flirt he is. Even with stallions twice his since and easily able to snap his neck, he has to nerve to simply walk up to them and play his sweet little games. He will tell someone what he thinks of them without second thought, especially if it will upset them, and he will run headfirst into a bloodbath.

//distant
"..."

Ever since leaving the Bachelor herd, Ri has become increasingly distant, wanting nothing more than to keep himself away from everyone. He tends to keep to himself, avoiding his old her and any others he may come accross. And if he ever does speak to someone, he can ofter be found almost as if he has his head in the clouds. He gets rather lost in his thoughts, possessed by them. He knows being around others may help to keep his mind quiet, but he worries what might happen. He has snapped in the past, so he prefers to just stay away.

//cold
"I just don't care."

If he has to deal with someone, Ri will usually be quite blunt and abrupt in the way he talks. He has little patience for anyone, and while this is just a show, he is rather good at it. If he percives someone as an idiot, it is just all the worse for them. He will be downright rude and obnoxious, and if he hurts someone's feelings then that's just an average day. However, behind the cold front is a faint glimmer of something less twatish. He might be kind to others. On occasion. It is rare though, and it might be a hard act to earn from him.

|| Other ||

//He is very proud and sure of himself, and will easily brag that his name means 'King' in his father's old language, even though he hates the old stallion
//He thinks romance is a waste of time. Love even more so.
//He is fascinated by stars and the night sky, and will spend his nights just staring up for hours on end.

|| History ||

//Foal-hood
Compared to what it seemed like most foals in his herd were going through, Ri had a pretty normal foal-hood to his herd’s standards. As soon as he was cleaned up and on his feet, Dorcha was there to mark him. His mother had given in resisting the strange customs by then. She knew better. He foal was strong, though, and neither her, nor Dorcha, had any reason to worry about their son. They knew he would survive. He had to.
The majority of Ri’s childhood was taken up by his father’s persistent training. He wished for his son to be the strongest in the herd, to be able to battle any other and take them down. He didn’t care for the foal’s young age, nor did he think that what he was doing might be harmful, not just physically, but mentally. Ri would often return to his mother’s side sporting new cuts and bruises, then, when he was feeling well enough to play with the other colts, he would use the same fighting techniques his father had shown him when their play turned that way. He knew no better, and there was never anyone to tell him any different. His mother tried, in secret, but she knew Dorcha would disapprove.

//Adolescence
Over time, Ri began to despise his father and his views, just as the stallion came to despise him. The colt had grown a mind of his own, and he often used his wit against the brutish stallion to argue and out-smart him, which often ended in another beating. He saw that other foals often, for some reason, seemed to lose their parents at early ages, and more often than not, he found himself wishing that would happen to him. But, his parents were in their prime, and they were going nowhere fast.
Ri did love his mother, just as she loved him back, however, her lack of ability to step in whenever Dorcha would get angry was soon seen as nonchalance in his eyes. So, in turn, he began to simply not care. He learned and perfected his skills of manipulation on her. And he saw nothing wrong with it.
It was around this age that it also became clear that Ri wasn’t going to be the strong warrior his father had believed. He had taken his mother’s slight frame, and it was obvious he was never going to grow as tall as most of the stallions in the herd. This put a dark fire behind his father’s eyes, and he threatened more than once to have his useless mutt of a son killed. He tried more than once, too, but Ri had learned things his father had not taught him, and every time he managed to escape this fate, usually leaving more scars on the older stallion than he took himself.

//Adult-hood
Eventually, Ri’s father left him alone. He decided he wasn’t worth his time of effort, and simply kicked him to the curb. Not that Ri minded, of course. He was quite content never to have to set eyes on him again. Dorcha left the herd then, ashamed that he would never be all that he dreamed. He was never seen again. Aliee stayed put, though, and continued to keep a silent watch over her son. She was taken by other stallions, but every time the pregnancy would never last. Ri was never blessed with a sibling, but he preferred it that way. He was always the apple of his mother’s eye and he could get her to do anything he wanted. But by that time, it was clear the aging mare wasn’t going to give any more foals, and by the terms of their herd, she was of no more use. She was cast out, forced to live as a loner until either predators or old age took her.
Ri mourned. He did. It surprised him just how much he was bothered by it. He missed the mare that had cared for him all those years, but he would never show it. He kept it bottled up because he had to be strong to survive. And that is exactly what he planned to do, just to spite his old man and, even now, he strives to be greater than the idiot ever thought he could, just so he can dance on his grave.

//New
At the age of twenty two, Ri left the Bachelor herd. He walked. Something simply told him to go, that he was going to die there, and not of old age. That everything would fall apart around him if he stayed. He didn't want to go to war, didn't wish to fight a battle he didn't believe in. So, one night, he stole himself away. It took him almost a full year to learn to fully cope on his own, and how not to die, but he managed. He gained more scars, and a darker mindset on life in general. He became a thief to survive. He had always been rather opportunistic, so it wasn't difficult for him. He has met one or two other loners, and has learned a few customs from them, a general code to live by, and he respects that. Any other rules imposed onto him will not be taken well.

On the top of the slight incline, Ri stood, calm and quiet. His eyes were closed and he simply sighed, feeling the cloud once again forming in his mind. The herd were around, milling about, doing…things. He didn’t really care for them, but they were his best shot, so he would stay. Besides, he enjoyed the company too much. He didn’t know what he would do without them. Boredom wasn’t something he could stand.

Finally, his eyes opened, the dark browns catching the sun, turning them a bright chocolate.  Smile had found the stallion’s lips, and he looked down upon the horses, somewhat amused by their pathetic routines. They were all so dull, but they did offer interest when he could wind them up. And it was with that thought in mind that he trotted down to his favourite. A dark stallion. Tall, muscular, constantly in a mood. Near silently, he sidled up beside him, pressing close, and dipped his muzzle to mutter a sweet, “Hello, pumpkin,” against his ear as he grazed.

It would be nice to have him back but I didn't get in. I'll see what the guys say cause one of the admins pretty much invited me back and I thought this would be the best way to go about it, but apparently not D:

I'm not too pleased with the group at the moment, so I'm not surprised. Your app is one of the better ones I've seen out of the ones accepted, and I should know being a former admin and going through an opening with them. But I suppose that's none of my business anymore.
In any case, I hope you can get things cleared up.

I think the main reason was because I put ranger in the inital thing and forgot ranger rank wasn't open. I then fixed it but obviously then didn't look at the app after I fixed it, though I did fix it before the closing date, and told them I fixed it. I don't know. I asked Elesette about how I could go about getting back into this whole thing because she was the one who pretty much said I could just come back a few weeks ago.
I don't know, I just wanna get back in cause it really is a great stress reliever to draw this guy and such, and I need one of those right about now.
But thank you <333
