Description I'm doing a commission, of a sort, for ImmortalZImbalance - she's paid me in pretty instead of money, hahah. So anyway this is the first draft. It's very very early on but I want to make sure ImmortalZImbalance likes where I'm going with it. The character/fursona is called Rose which is a pretty name. The tall thin things in the back will be birch trees [link] the scene is at night or dusk (have to think about the lighting, actually o-o), and that orange thing in the tree is going to be another big cat showering the leaves down. I have to make Rose more hairy...

Crits welcome <3

Needless to say, art is by me, characters are by ImmortalZImbalance/ PolarAzulTigress.

Um, what can I call you for short?

Lol I'll give you more advice when I wake up in a bit.. XD I just started to drink my Coffee, for short people call me Rose. =3 She is my Fursona after all. X3 I would say Rose is Rose, but that's from a comic strip I like to read. X3 But it does fit.

I really like the flowing movement in this. Willow looks so silly up in the trees but she's the younger sibling to my Rose character and known to being a performance kitty before going back out into the wild with her sibling. She usually has a gold collar on but I usually don't draw it. Also Willows patterns will change according to season, since this is a fall picture hers would be the usual orange, black and white. The markings on her face have been changed to four fall maple leafs connecting around her eyes. [link] Coffee got on my doodle. X3 Anyway there are suppose to be more umber brown around the mask but it appeared more charcoal/black due to bad color pencils I was attempting to use. She should have one of the black/white markings starting from up top of her neck down, with black/umber brown around it and the rest on her chest are suppose to reflect rips, I just was never able to capture them as so. XD And she'd have brown thin branches on her legs. These change with every season, like in spring they have cherry blossoms on them. Anyway I approve of Willow so far besides the markings being slightly off. She still looks cute up there.

I really love the dramatic pose on Rose. Are both her hind legs together though? XD She seems to be lack of one hind leg. If shes leaping down I can see it being hidden behind the other if running it may be pulled forward as if to catch herself to make another stride. =3

Her tail is a bit more thicker than shown her since its taken off a snow leopard. Everyone has their own way of drawing the bristle down her back, though I'd imagine it'd be sticking up just some due to her being excited. It sticks up more so then. X3 since that fur is actually more dense.

Her dark leg stockings go to her elbows of course, you can draw some fur flowing there, not quite as long as I believe this is more of the summer version.

Over all I love the idea and where this is going. =3 Lol And yes Rose is usually more hairy. X3 lol I laughed when I saw the term hairy instead of furry. X3

Either way very cute concept. I approves. =3 Now time for coffee. XD yay.

You know this is what becomes of posting art up late at night ... like actually, this is really too loose for proper critting - apart from critting Rose's anatomy - but I didn't register that when I posted ... oh man. hahahah XD

I need coffee too >.>;;;

Its quite alright. XD I consider it much like a sketch/concept but with color. X3 Its not anywhere near done enough for red lining it yet. I don't think anyway. X3 Its still nice to see anyhow. Lol I feel very much the same way though. XD Yay for coffee.

Just to let you know I'm still working on this & haven't forgotten it! I'm trying to sort the anatomy out in the transition from sketch to something more precise and it's kicking my ass. I think I might have made a breakthrough though. My apologies for the delays. Hopefully I can make it worth it.

Sweet!! Thanks for all the feedback. A lot of the detail stuff like the markings, fur length, is just because this is a very early sketch. Plus how I've drawn Willow is basically a placeholder doodle, lol, I should have mentioned that. But it's super helpful to get extra pointers on where to refine it ^___^ And you're right I need to sort out where that other back leg will be! lol! And yeah, back or forward ... I think it might be good with the leg back, but, I'll try it forward as well and see how it looks. Hmm. I think imma make Willow bigger, I just haven't quite sorted out how big yet or how exactly she'll be in the tree. She should definitely be big enough that I can draw that gorgeous face :3
Anyway I'm glad you approve!! and now I have to run off and see a man about some hay XD

Heh, I'm really excited how it'll turn out. I don't get too much art done of my charries so its nice to see new work done by others. I love how they're done in other peoples styles rather than just my own.

How did the hay thing go?

He was meant to turn up at 8.30 to look at the hay paddocks, at 9.20 he left a message saying "I'm a few minutes late but I'm leaving now..." I waited till 10.30 then left! Turns out he and his wife arrived at about 9.30 and looked over the gate but didn't come up because they thought I would have left! *facepalm*

Oh well. XD
