She would never leave this place alive, at least, not this version of her. Elfrida hadn't expected the flower she picked with the brunette to last this long, but whatever scrapped remnants of it remained, they now lay here beneath the trunk of a gnarled tree. She couldn't wear it anymore, not since it only brought her memories of bygone days and a stinging reminder of her own guilty conscience.
