This month's community challenge theme is BELONGING. Pack life and strength in numbers is an old truth for wolves of Almos. But how do they fit into the bigger picture of their home? Do they aspire to be at the core of their pack, a friend to many? Or do they linger on the edges, a bit out of place? Perhaps they merely are, somewhere in the middle.

She knew that any semblance of belonging had ended the moment Emil breathed his last breath. She thought Taika was the solution, comforted and content with her friendship with Loa and Kai. At least, she thought she was. Elfrida drifted away slowly, quietly, like a piece of sodden driftwood slowly sinking in a lake, unnoticed. At least... they never had a terrible falling out. She remembered her childhood years, following Parthenia and Medea in their activities before Emil died. Elfie thought they were her friends, but when she sought comfort, they were quick to snap their jaws and chase her away.

Maybe... Elfie was just predispositioned to be rootless, always pushed around and swept by the breeze.
Maybe... Elfie just made a lot of ill-informed decisions.
Maybe... if that's the case, then what's one more?

One more opportunity to find her place.
