well, this is based off an advert for the 2007 Avalon airshow which I dearly wanted to see, but missed. anyway, the advert had the strangest, but coolest little aircraft on it [link]it resembled an F-22 raptor, but had windlets, a funly cockpit, and more angles.
so, I drew it from a directly front on perspective. I wanted to make a story for it, as I always do, and the USAF has a history of upgrading fighters, and putting super infront of the name (F/A-18 super hornet, F-4 super phantom, and a few others)
thus, this could only be the super raptor!

From an artistic point of view, this plane is definitely cool. However, as an aircraft engineering student, I have to say that winglets are not very good for fighters. I can explain to you if you wish.
And I agree that canards don't look good on some aircraft. Take the NASA's research plane F-15 [link] (Advanced Control Technology for Integrated VEhicles) as an example. And personally, I like the look of the Su-27 more than that of its successor Su-35. The canards of the latter took away the sleek and simplistic feel.

from waht I've been told, winglets are used on passenger and cargo aircraft, to catch escaping lift from the wingtips, helping circulate the airflow, or somthing. am i right?

Partly right. It is actually there to reduce the wingtip vortex. However they are only designed to work under a narrow range of speed and pressure. For fighters, which have to operate at a wide range of speed and altitude, winglets can only create more drag (air resistance) most of the times.

well, the people who drsigned the logo obviously didnt think of that.

I dunno, I think the King raptor from C&C Generals ZH would be able to beat it since it has 6 ammo bays and a laser for shooting down missiles... She kinda reminds me of enterprise looking at it from the front since it doesn't show much of the ship.
