This was meant for Arrinkirr's contest of course, but I didn't make it on time >_<

Oh well, there will be another chance

Workflow:
I sketched this with good ol' pencil and paper, then gave it outlines with the micron pen. I then scanned it and passed the lineart into a separate layer in PS, made a shading pattern in the original paper piece, and finally colored and applied the shades. I'm really proud of him although he might look disproportioned, because this is my first, non-copied, anime artwork ^_^

Somewhat based on "The Last Samurai".

Story:
In a land torn by war, the last scattered samurai warriors prepare themselves for battle against the Japanese Army. With a melancholic gaze they put on their armor, fighting only for the things they were taught to fight for since they were children...

For honor.
