The landscape calendar is now available , so go check it out!Wedgemount glacier feeding Wedgemount lake. The fog had just lifted enough to see the lake clearly. Better than refilling your Coke at the movies
Location: Wedgemount Lake, Garibaldi Provincial Park, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm + Tiffen Polarizer.
Processing: Photomatix Pro 4.1 and Photoshop CS6 from 3 RAW exposures.

The way the stream is used to direct the viewers' attention down the stream, up the shore, and down the mountains to the nicely contrasting icy blue glacier is one of the things I like so much about this photo. And the fog lurking behind the glacier adds even more depth to the scene. The fog is a nice background hides the extraneous mountains that might distract viewers from the main subject - the waters.
The earthy yellow of the stream and the icy blue of the glaciers provide nice contrast to the bleak, gray gravel of the surrounding mountains.
This photograph is a perfect blend of breathtaking scenery, photographic technique, and the opportune moment.
