Description I love Nature, and my D7 allows me to make such a perfect flower... well, immortal.

Just a little fiddling in PS6 to make a soft background, changing the size, creating a border. No leveling of any kind.

Pic shot the same day, same place as the red rose for my "Burning Passion" deviation.

piece of an advice : YOU MUST LOOK AT IT FULL SIZED !!!!

wahou c'est vraiment une magnifique photo, j'adore la couleur de la fleur qui ressort très bien avec le fond plus sombre.

The colors are wonderful and the petals are crisp looking, but what's with the brushed background?

Well, I didn't want the background to interfere with the rose... and there were some ugly blue dropplets on the leafs (chemical treatment... I couldn't do anything 'xecpt cope with it).
That's why I decided to turn the vivid blue dropplets into some kind of green (you can still see them), and " directionnaly blur" the background.

I even considered a moment putting it on a plain black background...

don't you like it so ?
