Description Hi! So... I kinda' need someone's help with my pony drawings; I would be really greatly appreciate some analyzing of this - to help me improve. I mainly draw for myself, but I feel like I want to know what I need to focus on, so that I can keep improving: not perhaps for more faves, but rather for my own sake!

I'll gladly give you some points if I feel you've given me some great advice!
I can also do a commision, if you'd like   but I've never done one before, so... yeah...

Let's start with the good. The good is that you have the body and the proportions for the most part worked out just fine. The eyes are done very well also. You seem to have a handle on facial expressions too, but I need to see a few more to be certain.

Now as for the hair, I must say it is quite inconsistent. It doesn't feel so much attached to the head as around or behind it. It's also quite jagged, and varied between images.

However, that said, you get the general idea. Your outlines are good, and your ideas are also golden. A bit more practice and it will look really awesome.

This drawing does seem to have your own style but the hair seems quite stiff and non-flowing...You also seem unsure with your outlining. You seems to be practicing with shading witch I find quite nice. The ears seem quite unsure too quite I'm-proportionate at times too. Agai. With the hair if you want it to stand like that train adding something that gives reason to why the hair is like that or add something to hold up te hair. The eyes with the bottom right sketch seem u even one being smaller than the other even be noticeable with the expression he is giving. But still great art my good sire and I hope this message helps.

Let's talk knees.

img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20… Look at that majestic bend. (I'm talking about the front here.) See how there are clearly two bones? It's like our legs. Right now, his thigh bone is, like, two inches, and his calf is seven.

Here's a non-alicorn example. (What can I say, we have leggy rulers.)
fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/f/201… This is what I personally like. The nice sharp bend.

This is what I've seen. mylittleponypictures.com/wp-co… Maybe that's what you saw, too. *This is just my personal opinion, so go do whatever you want.* However, I think this is a bit of a lazy way to draw - c'mon, Hasbro, step up your knee game. Yours is much better than this already, but do you get what I mean when I'm talking about... like, no bend at all?

Eh, just my opinion. I just have a thing for getting a crisp knee bend. xD

I especially love the upper-right expression! I agree with others on the hair. However, once you get it down, I'm sure he'll be rocking a fab 'do in no time.

Heh, yeah.
Perhaps a bit too interesting, though: working on keeping it a bit more "natural" an' more connected to the head ^w^
