Description
Caleb flew in the air a fast as he could. He knew that The Joker was going after his family after he rescued Batman from Arkham. "That Kid has to be eliminated" the joker said.
As Caleb touched down on the lawn of his house, he saw that it was in shambles. Flames will still burning, and the house was almost burned to the ground. "Mom.....Dad?" Caleb yelled. Hoping to hear his parents voices. But the place was silent.
Caleb walked through what was his front door, almost nothing was left. He saw on the floor his mother's purse. It was covered in soot, and singed. He tried to hold back tears.

Then Caleb heard the sound of a vehicle approaching. He turned as saw the Batmobile stopping on the already ruined front lawn. Batman got out and stared at Caleb. "Come on kid. They're not here. The Joker doesn't operate like that." Batman said.
"This is my fault, I should've never...." Caleb began to say. "NO!!!, it's not your fault. You use your abilities to help others who can't help themselves. Apparently that included me too. If it weren't for you, I'd be dead." Batman said, almost scolding Caleb.

"Are they dead?" Caleb said. Looking at the rubble of his house. "Probably not. He's going to use them to lure you out. If anything, he will make them watch while he makes you suffer." Batman explained,
"How are we going to find them?" Caleb asked. "I'm not sure yet, But I have a friend who might be able to help us find them. But we have to go to Kansas." Batman said.
"Kansas, who the hell lives in......You mean Superman?" Caleb said. Batman man shook his head. "Yeah, him." he said. Batman looked around at the rubble of Calebs home. "Come on, Let's go Carrot Head" Batman said. Showing a sort of out of character smirk. Caleb rolled his tear filled eyes and followed Batman to the Batmobile.
Both Caleb and Batman got into the Batmobile and headed to the Batcave. They would switch to the Batwing and fly out to the Kent Farm in Smallville.

NOTES: This is the "New" Caleb in his first appearance. Someone had said to me that I have to put my characters in jeopardy or some kind of "situation". This is the best that I could come up with. I wanted to make it personal to Caleb. While giving a nod to the origins of Batman, my second favorite Superhero. Mind you, in my head I'm seeing the Keaton version of Batman and the Reeve (though updated costume) version of Superman. Yes, I know in the Keaton version of Batman, the Joker is dead. But if "Palpatine can somehow return", than so can The Joker.
