" CC-5372, also known as War-Machine, was a Senior Commander serving under the Republic during the Clone Wars. He was the right hand of Jedi General Spaar, who led the 305th Mechanised Brigade, an elite brigade within the Grand Army of the Republic. War-Machine utilised dual DC-17 hand blasters and often carried thermal detonators and EMP grenades. He was noted by his peers for his unsettling taste for destruction and war, getting him the name War-Machine. Because of his rather long name, War-Machine was often just referred to as 'Machine'. His armour’s patterns closely resembled those worn by the average soldier within his brigade, though his helmet had “War-Machine” carved into it as a reminder of who and what he was - a war machine. He had a good knowledge of vehicles and how they worked throughout the galaxy and was highly praised for his expertise within the field of vehicular combat, often able to push an ordinary walker or tank beyond the limits to perform better than any other soldier would typically be capable of ".
