raidens were purpose-built interceptors yet they perform surpisingly well against fighters.

In one mission I nailed 3 hellcats with one.

oh yeah, they called em "the mustang tamer"

when playing online i've gotten people flying La-7s, spitfires, and a lot of differnent planes. the Ki-61 is another one i use a lot

it would have to be the hei though - the other tonys are too lightly armed - most of the macchis suffer the same fault.But a Ki-61-Hei is one plane I also use alot

I dont think I've tamed any mustangs or lavochkins in a raiden, but I have tamed plenty of spitfires

yeah, i use either the Hei or the Otsu. it really depends on what im doing. sometimes its the "nothing more than 20mm rule" XD

lol its hella fun when you catch someone in the Raiden ^^

cool. I heard the Japanese had proposed a 'oint defence interceptor variant for the okha.'
I don't think it got into service though
