Description
This tutorial shows how to make explosion effects in Photoshop. It requires no plugins and should work on v5.5 although it has not been tested on it. This is my first tutorial so there's no guarantee I've submitted it properly!Related content

Another nice effect can be obtained if you create a new layer and apply a clouds filter and set the blending to color dodge, which makes the explosion a bit more vibrant.

"Duplicate the layer you've been working on and Filter -> Distort -> Pinch ..."
You haven't duplicated the layer in your pics. I did say to, but you haven't. So thanks for your vote.
Tip: To duplicate a layer quickly, drag it onto the 'new' icon in the bottom right, just next to the trash can.

If you're not satisfied with the streaks then apply the wind filter twice. I've reread the tutorial and I see no problems with it. email me at jaggedconscience@hotmail.com if you're still stuck

The Wind and Motion Blur steps aren't enough to get the streaks. Its like you're missing something around Step 8.

i don't know step eight is wierd also i use ps 7 i don't got 6 i pinch and glass right but that layer
screen is not working pic is in same effect i want explosions!!!!!
