Born on a farm outside New Liberty, Bartel Hotspot became fascinated with firefighting as a pup after a team of firefighters managed to put out flames in the cornfields. He enrolled in becoming a full time firefighter where he became a hero to the public and a credit to the fire department by stepping into danger. However all was about to change when one night, an apartment building was caught on fire and Bartel rushed inside to save whoever was left inside. As the floor he was standing on began to weaken, he fell through the floor and into a pit of fire where he was burned alive until he was saved by Crush Rabbit who came to the rescue as Super Duper Rabbit X. Despite being saved, his fur was singed off leaving his flesh horribly burnt. The event changed Bartel forever as he developed a new obsession called pyromania where became an evil version of a firefighter by setting fire to things thus using his mania to become a villain. Stepping down from fearless hero to arsonistic pyromaniac, he became the villainous Fire Blighter where planned engulf all of New Liberty in flames where the whole city would burn to the ground leaving nothing but a smoking crater. But first he’ll to roast a trio of heroic rabbits from getting in his way.
