Gawd dammit Jamie, this is awesome. In fact this whole series has been awesome; not just the Legacy Series but the GLBT project as well.
Having seen the rest of the Legacy series, I gotta say that seeing a couple depicted rather than a single character is a nice variation, and I do hope that you plan on doing more like these for any subsequent pieces in the series.

Each piece is so well done, and the colors that Danielle are adding to them really complements the piece!

I am impressed that you guys are showcasing at such a big event (I'm assuming it's an event?) and this might be weird to say, but I'm actually pretty proud too

Can't wait to see what else you have in store for us!

Ooh amazing! As per usual with gay characters, there really isn't much art done of Shatterstar and Rictor so it's always a treat when there is some done of them. I personally feel they're the most well-written gay couple at Marvel comics right now and art only rivalled by Batwoman and Maggie Sawyer at DC.

I really like the way you've drawn Rictor's hair. There's a lot of movement to it and it looks full. It's really multi-dimensional. He looks cute. However, the star of this piece is truly Shatterstar. I love the intensity in his expression and the pose works really well for his character. He looks ready to pounce. You've drawn his costume wonderfully and I like the way his belt looks in particular. Also, bravo on the clenched fists. Those are NOT easy to draw. Lastly, I want to compliment you on Shatterstar's face in general. He looks really dashing and I actually enjoy that Shatterstar doesn't look like a 75-year-old man anymore (seriously why does Liefeld draw EVERY man and woman like they're elderly in the face?!). The hair is different from how it is usually styled in X-Factor but I enjoy it. I love his jaw and chin... it's very masculine. Shatterstar looks so great! Excellent job!

I find the idea of "POWER DUOS" quite interesting. It seems strange that when couples get together or are created they often lose this sense of independence and fans often stop thinking of them as individuals and instead as couples... as if one cannot exist without the other. I do feel PAD has put in a lot of effort to make sure the two work independently as characters but I wouldn't be surprised if most fans lump them together as if they're one character. It's like that with a lot of Marvel couples though... hell it's even a trend in Hollywood. We now call couples by an amalgamated name (i.e. Brangelina) as if these people share one brain. Don't I sound like a regular Carrie Bradshaw? XD

When I read X-Force in the late 90s and just before Rictor and Shatterstar left the team they hinted at a "close friendship". I didn't know that they went back and expanded on that relationship. The last time I was reading comics the only openly gay character in Marvel was Northstar.
