Magatsu art prompt: Create a portrait of someone who is not a darkly Byronic anti-hero. Use an impressionist style.

I like how the prompt tells you to NOT to do something so it's basically still as vague as possible. Except for the impressionism part was weird, I've never even considered attempting impressionism before. /( '0n0)/

So this is the first thing that came about my endeavor to not rage quit on ever single piece of artwork I attempt. Nope not happy with it nopenopenope. But it took two tries before I came up with this one, and I think it's better than the original one so is aight. I didn't reference a single other artist in the course of making it, so. u.u I think my main problem is getting contrast with the various values. It's almost like I feel like I can't "fit" all of the shadows and highlights and everything I want in there.

Frisson is French verbiage used to describe the sensation of sudden excitement; it is applied to music with the more elaborate label "musical frisson" to describe the chills you get when listening to an effective composition that elates you. Scientific studies reveal that this tangible feeling is due to a release of a chemical called dopamine in your body. The varying pleasure you find in the music will cause different levels of physical response. This nueraltransmission can be attributed to feelings associated with other pleasures such as sex and eating.

It's amazing how much music can effect us.
