Aha! I've had this in my Favourites for ages, but I just finally figured out what this piece reminds me of -- the style is VERY much like that of the illustrations in the original Oz books, by L. Frank Baum, as illustrated by John R. Neill.
I just find the resemblance here truly striking.
I can't find any images that look exactly like this, in my nearest Oz book, but it looks *strikingly* like many of the pieces in those books. No wonder I loved this image so much on first sight!

Buenos dias, this be the Captain snooping about the galleries! I gotta say you show some amazing talent, especially with your age. I couldn't dream of drawing as good as you when I was that old, in fact you'd still beat my butt. There's a lot of detail to your works, but I still love how this one came out. She kind of reminds you of a ghost or a statue. You have a gift and I see a bright future ahead of you in the world of art. Take care and keep on rockin'!
