Description

    Athelia sobbed quietly, her chains clinking as her body trembled. Her arms ached from being held high all day. Her stomach was unsettled by both stress and hunger, and her mouth was dry with thirst.

    The worst of it had been the noise, as muffled as it had been. Magic spells wreaking havoc, human firearms killing indiscriminately, the clash of metal weapons, the screams—oh, by the sands, the screams.

    When the sounds of battle finally fell silent, there was no telling who had won. She prayed for the survival of Queen Eveleth, whom Athelia had tried to warn of the impending coup d’état, only to be caught and imprisoned by the conspirators.

    Athelia stopped sobbing, listening intently as an unoiled door creaked open. Heavy footfalls echoed down the dungeon corridor in an unhurried rhythm.

    She looked to the door, looking through its small, barred window for any indication of the newcomer. Was it a rescuer, someone still loyal to the Queen? Was it one of the conspirators, be it an elven spellslinger or a human mercenary? Was it the fiend, an abominable being who had granted the conspirators extra power for their undertaking?

    A chill ran throughout Athelia’s body as the footsteps came closer. Though her sobs had stopped, she still trembled.

I likely won't be able to get the exact outfit you have in mind for your character, but chances are I can get pretty close.
