Description
Quite a while back, I drew a series of pictures involving a young girl who had the majority of her internal organs replaced with robotic parts after a car accident. Along with several other un-fun aspects of her new life, she must go in once a month to have regular maintenance performed to have adjustments done and to make sure everything continues to function properly. A large robotic arm filled with tools opens a panel on her back and performs the check-up. This is not painful, but it is very uncomfortable. Eventually, she learns to accept it.
There are a few flaws with this picture -- other than how terrible her feet look, the canisters in her back look more half-hazard than I would like. Maybe I'll try this picture again at some point. Still, this is an incredible improvement over my first attempt at this same image.

She just looks so annoyed about the whole affair. Not frightened or pained, just irritated, like she wants to be somewhere else!

That was kind of the idea! This is after she's been doing this regularly for a while, so she's sort of resigned to the whole process... but you're right, she'd much rather be somewhere else.
