I've been playing around with Inkscape lately, and I wanted to try using the freehand/pencil tool. Though it lacks some features that I would really like (inability to rotate the canvas, and I don't always like how difficult it is to merge two paths) it ended up working out quite nicely.
I want to dedicate this picture to the Frozen fandom on Tumblr, who have been really good to my wife lately. She can be down on herself sometimes, and her friends have been doing a great job lately of lifting her up.
Frozen and Elsa, of course, belong to Disney.

I love this piece so much! The cool color scheme, the lineless style, the powerful pose. And that hand is -awesome.- The fingers and the heel of the hand have such dynamic shapes!

Thank you! I have so much trouble with hands, but this one came out pretty good! I hope it wasn't a one time thing!
The lineless style has been a lot of fun to experiment with. And that's a big deal: I like sketching and I like coloring, but doing the lines in between usually ends up feeling like a chore. But I'm actually enjoying these!
And, yeah, they're pretty adorable, aren't they? It's all her, you know; the adorableness just bleeds over into my side, too.

I know what you mean about the hands. I think those are just about the hardest things to draw. Period.
And yes, lineless is so much fun! It helps a lot with making more powerful shapes and angles. (This piece is an excellent example of that!)
