Are there tutorials on how to make tutorials?! xD

It is a simple one but the techniques here applies to how I do all my works when it comes to lighting and misty atmosphere. And If there is anything that is puzzling you, ask, I don't bite... >.>

This is how you'll apply the stokes:

Polyrender [2018-05-23 03:40:29 +0000 UTC]

I posted this in a journal entry for tutorials on my profile page.  I've done a little painting like this here and there for my 3D renders but usually not as extensive.  When highlighting a figure I usually rely on well placed spot or mesh lights, but your rim painting probably offers the better results I'm looking for.  Sometimes for light beams I make one in Filter Forge which works pretty good.  I'm cheap so I use GIMP so for color correction I usually just filter with an overlay color.  This can work but may have limitations.  I'm not sure how to create a color correction layer in GIMP.  I think most of these techniques I can do in GIMP.  I'll have to try a few new things here.

JayGraphixx In reply to Polyrender [2018-05-26 14:18:16 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the feature. It will be awesome if you apply these steps into Gimp. I hope you can achieve great highlights by following these steps.
