If she was rude back or whatever, she wouldn't have business, and she's got to survive somehow...
I'm not fond of the intensity of the contrast overall. It's a bit too harsh for me... I guess it does reflect the harshness of her life in that way.
Part of me wishes you could have captured it without the post getting in the way, but... eh.

yeah, the post annoyed me as well but i was trying to capture it on the fly without making a nuisance of myself. i contrasted it high just as you though though, to capture a bit of the gruff nature of this woman's life.
