It seems to be something about this transference. I remember a lot of people talking about it. Refresh my memory, please.Related content

I loved "The Bride" outfit. You should consider more embarassing silly clothes-changing penalties in DGR4.

I have always wanted to ask you why Roxy's dress has changed in the last part of this panel.

One of the "tricks" and "traps" of this version of Dice Game (based on a board game), was the addition of an great amount of weight and the apparition of a wedding dress, as you can see in the last pannel of page 4. Then, when the game is over, Roxanne is brought back to her original outfit, but enlarged.
This board game actually existed and there's a entirely senseless and wacky alternate saga of WG about it, with lots and lots of unfinished comics! I must look back to find it and post it as another oldie. Promise!

I thought she got in a wedding dress (and gained a bit) because it's more or less known that a newlywed woman tends to gain a bit of weight after marriage...

Ok. ^-^ Inspired by this WG game of yours, I started to write a story about a deck of card with turn the points scored by the players directly into fat. It planned four teenagers t play a popular Italian card game, called "Scala 40" (a peculiar version of Rummy), in which the player which ends up with over 100 or 200 points, depending on the version played, loses. That story never came to an end, though. I never had the time and the good ideas to finish it.

I'm all ears, Jig. I love games... Nice idea! Let me know if you develop some of this.

Probably. Dut it would be complex. The rules are many and could work against the story. For example, if you end up the manche with all the 13 cards you had when the manche started, you get a penalty of 100 points. WHen I attended a small tournament a dozen years ago, I lost three games when all my cards in hand. Then, describing a card match could be very boring. I'll try to translate in English the first installment and see what the other think of it.

Cards and pounds... Nice idea, as I said, Jigen. You go forward on this one. Any help you need I'll be glad to advice you on the matter.

Thanks, JT. It's not easy to write a weight gain story involving this kind of competition between women. Scala 40, to make things more difficult, can add A LOT of weight, but it's a impredictable game. You play with 108 cards (2 full deckswith 4 jokers) and you'll never know if you will be able to "open" the manche. You could win the manche when the opponent has all the cards in hand (in that case, he gets 100 points). But your opponents could end up with a "2" in hand, because - once they open - they will try to keep only the cards with low points, since they will have to add the points in their hand to their final score. Getting to 101 (if there are only 2 players or 201 if there are 4 or more players) becomes very hard. Scala 40 matches can last for hours, because the porpouse of the game is to stay below 201 points. Probably the best thing is to simulate the match and see where it goes. 108 cards are difficult to keep in mind.

It seems complex when you read it but I'm sure it's simpler than it looks!

It's a complex game. The rules are simple. you need two full card decks, complete with 4 Jokers. Each player starts with 13 cards each, and then place the first card of the deck, visible, on the table. Each player then controls the cards in his hand. As I said before, to "open" you need 40 points, remembering that Aces means 10 points, and Jokers can substitute every card in the deck. Then the first player draws a card from the deck (or the visible card if he has 40 point in hand). He can open if he has 40 points. In each case, at the end of his hand, he has to discard a card. Then, the next player does the same. The one who remains without cards in hand after he discarded, wins the match. These are the basic rules, but you can get familiar with them only playing.

It's hard to explain, but once you start playing you get familiar with the rules. I hope I'll have some time to develop the idea.
