I haven't drawn any critters like Acomi in quite a few years. But yeah, this is Acomi, she carries her home on her back, and eats plants sometimes. She once ate a bug, but that was by accident.She has no bones, rather is entirely supported by dense cartilage and packets of muscle to help her maintain her form.
And yes, she's rather small.

Incidentally like the way this finished out. The color scheme is nice, and I like her name too 
What do the males of the species look like? Are they bigger, or smaller? Different color schemes? Different diets? What about the race as a whole...do they stick with one shell their whole life, or do they emulate crabs and switch every once and a while when they outgrow it? Any interesting cultural quirks like decorating the shell or themselves, or are they a pretty simple race as a whole? Do tell
