This is another remake of a Forever 16 strip Iβve done before. Originally, this was a conversation between Joel and Katy, but as these characters have evolved, Aaron feels much more like the type of horny bastard to come up with an idea this stupid.Related content

When I think about what animation I grew up with back then that would have inspired me the most to pursue an interest in cartooning, it would probably have to be Disney and Warner Bros. animation. No doubt about that.

I thought I was gonna go to Cal Arts someday to be like geniuses like Brad Bird and Genndy Tratavosky when I was 14........ I didnt do that because Im just lazy when it comes to really drawing, I rather just pay someone to do the hard stuff and just write, which I still barely do.
My educational and career life is nothing but disappointment and a few Associates Diplomas.
Hey Jesse if you get depressed, think about me, at least you achieve something like steady comic strips, I still barely made my masterpiece.

I can't say I really consider Genndy Tratavosky a genius anymore when it comes to art. Looking back, the animation quality of Dexter's Laboratory clearly took a drop after only a few episodes, and all he does now is make CG movies.

He didnt made the last seasons of Dexter's Laboratory, he left production half way to work on other stuff, his test animation on Popeye is great, Symbionic Titan is amazing, and it's mostly Adam Sandler for most of the weakness of the Hotel Transylvania, besides he came to project after the failed attempts of 4 directors he did the best he could do.

Yeah, the Cartoon Network Studios episodes looked pretty crude, but I actually mean much earlier in Dexter's Lab's run than that. If you were to look back at about the first 6 episodes with the Dial M for Monkey segments, as well as the show's original pilots, Dexter's Lab had some nice animation quality, and then it all seemed to start going downhill right when they made the episode "Star Spangled Sidekicks".
Basically what I was saying was that I don't feel that Genndy did very good 2D animation for Cartoon Network, and now he's not even doing 2D animation at all. And I have no interest in the Popeye movie cause I've stopped caring about CGI remakes of classic cartoons. In fact, I've stopped caring about most CGI movies anyway.

Did you not watch his Star Wars cartoon with THE BEST 2D ANIMATED ACTION SCENES EVER! and Samurai Jack is like the greatest cartoon of all time.

Cartoon Network keep canceling their action shows, can you tell me what cartoon takes as much risk as Samurai Jack with it's cinematic, edgy, quiet, artful approach

I don't know, but Genndy's ideas of an "artful approach" always seemed to be questionable looking back at them now. Same with Craig McCracken and other cartoonists of their type. And I've got nothing more to say about it than that.

If i can give some advice, DONT GET LAZY, Keep drawing or else you will become like me and have nothing but failed goals, you have to basically draw everyday in order to become an animator. If you cant do that, your cant be an animator, but a failed loser like me

Did you get the inspiration for this comic from the fact that every big name animation studio that's not Disney like Amblimation, Warner Bros. Animation, Dreamworks, and Fox Animation suddenly wanted to become like Disney after the so-called Disney Renaissance? I remember what a time that was.

I'd rather have those studios than a lot of the Pixar imitating CGI studios out there now (except DreamWorks, because while they may have made some 2D movies, it's obvious that all they care about is CGI). Even Disney themselves has turned into a Pixar imitation, sadly.
