Description
While I love Venamous's look on the back with his tail and spine-line, his front isn't too bad either. I'm glad that I was able to work out a decent plate & scale look on his torso and some nice armored legs. The knee-armor overlaps nicely when his legs are straight, but it leaves a rather gawking gap when he bends his legs, which wouldn't be a terrible problem if this particular character stood straight a lot (he doesn't). Of course, my favorite part is the head. Yes, Bionicle Barraki Ehlek made a major donation, but it's his posable jaw that I like so much.On the downside: Yes, I already know his arms are bad; They're cheap and unimpressive; That's something I plan to fix later; moving on. His neck is... ok. The gaps around it is for movement, so I don't mind that. The neck itself is alright at the base, but as it goes up, it comes out skinny and scrappy looking. I don't hate it, but it could use work too. And his ankles: they are too loose for Venamous's well-being. Part of that's because the socket-pieces are old, but it's mostly because he's very heavy on top. I don't like using pistons like the Bionicle titan sets did. They're useful, but they look awkward and limit pose-ability. I may use friction-joints instead if they don't look too awkward.
All in all, I like this update. It needs work, but it still tops its old self.
