Just beautiful. Nice work on the cross contours, modelling the form. It is not easy, but you make it work beautifully. The compositional elements create a perfect balance. The shadow behind the head is necessary to balance the highlights on the thighs and you have the head in the perfect position, following the rule of thirds, plus the head is also a focal point as the eye is naturally drawn to the face, plus you have the darkest darks and lightest lights around the head to further draw in the eye. Masterful and elegant. The expression on the face is right on.

That is such an expression on her face. I get the distinct image of her opening herself for her lover, a surprise perhaps as if that lover has been away for some time and is just returning. In the moment of this image, I feel as if she is just seeing on her lovers face that something is wrong. There is something important on the face of her lover and this is when the woman is trying to see what is going on.
Perhaps I am wrong in my analysis but in the least I can say that her expression to me is utterly captivating and it lends to the wonder of this piece made with such talent

HOW do you apply the gesso so well that it looks like white pencil?

Just with a smaller sable brush, and a little water in the gesso. Some of the white 'is' actually white colored pencil. The gesso is only on the most intense highlights.
