Inspired by a photo series by giovannidallorto this is a lighting study in Iray. Here is his original photo:



Of course it is difficult to impossible to recreate exactly the same lighting Giovanni had while photographing, I can't know place and time and I don't have measures and placement or furnitures and what all influence the atmosphere and lighting in his room. But I said I will try and this is the result.
My Madoc skin on G2M, Brit hair, additional 3D body and facial hair, Dream Home furniture, Small Room Kit and a lot of tweaking for the Iray shaders and lighting, which is a mixture of Iray sunlight and two area spots. A bit of postwork and color filter applied in Photoshop after 10 hours rendering time - guess the transmitting translucency for the curtains claimed that high number of rendering iterations.
