My 2 cents? another antagonist who wanted to see Red Dead also BUT makes a bee line for Lisa to steal her trophy. Also have a way Red resurrected for a rematch. I’m not of fan of todays Peril fetish because majority of the stories make the protagonist look like complete jobbers. I understand the typical Heroes tale gets boring BUT your take is different because Red actually puts up a fight. Others make the heroines look like waifs tripping over the proverbial banana 🍌 peal. That’s my humble opinion

Thank you. You are understanding Red, she is not about perils or death. She is about the heroic struggling against all odds. Can she suffer, can she die? Yes, and she does. This makes her struggling more real. She is not a weak damsel or an all powerful and invincible hero.

Matter of FACT I had to re write my characters back story because of this story you two just did....in her history she is literally stabbed in the chest/heart by her lover in an act of betrayal. Left for dead she is revived by My fictional intelligence agency & with a change of heart (no pun intended) works for more altruistic missions 😂

Your story so your rules. I'm just saying what I like. I think it reinforces the inherent nihilism of the plot trope. As for this particular fight. I wonder if the victor would have triumphed had she not been in the centre of her power, with loyal followers around her? Also holding her opponent prisoner & then sending some others first to soften her up must have helped.
