I got the complete box set of Oban Star Racers for christmas, and needless to say I'm suffering from NOSTALGIA. NOSTALGIA EVERYWHERE.Even years back when it was on tv, it was pretty obscure as shows went, but I loved it. It had a unique style and really gripping (read as: downright emotionally harrowing) story.
Also, it somehow managed to be a show about racing and make it interesting. That in itself deserves props.
But yep, here's a whole slew of the cast members to mark the occasion! Damn I wish this show was still a thing, and I could gush about it to people, and they'd actually understand what I was talking about... X'D

I love this picture! I used to love watching Oban Star Racers on Jetix all the time. And I'm a huge fan of the show, and I always will be! So you can always "gush" about it to me, and I'd understand you! xDD

Oh yeah, I remember this. I missed the beginning and thought at first that all the characters were aliens of various types, since the people supposedly from our world had no noses.

So awesome! I like all of the characters you drew here, so awesome! I really like Molly, Prince Aikka, and G'Dar here as well as Koji and Stan in the corner there. Amazing and great work!

XD in all honesty he's actually my least favourite character in the entire show X'D ...Although to be completely truthful here I just drew oban characters until I ran out of inspiration and called it finished, and that happened to not include Jordan X'D I do wish I'd gotten round to drawing the rest of the cast too though... maybe that should be the topic of a second sketch dump~

Jordon's arrogance, and racism against non-humans really turned me off.

Stan and Koji were my favourite characters, no contest. They were just so adorable. X3

I know exactly what you're talking about. Netflix recently put the whole series up on Instant Play and I spent last night re-watching it with my friends. It just reminds me of way back when the fandom was young and everything was beautiful.
These drawings rock btw. You draw the mostly manly Rick ever; it's fantastic.

oh man, I just can't recommend the series enough. I can't promise you'll like it, but I'll say it's the only tv show that's ever made me actually shed tears... and it's hard to make me care about characters that much X'D
